The Rennsteig-Saaleland includes the regions in the middle of the Thuringian Slate Mountains, the Thuringian Vogtland, the Saale reservoirs (the Thuringian Sea), the Plothener Seenplatte and the Orlasenke, which runs through the Saale-Orla districtin south-east Thuringia.
The association, founded in 1991 as "Tourist Association Thuringian Schiefergebirge - Obere Saale", was renamed "Tourist Association Saale-Rennsteig-Seenland eV" for the first time in 2004.
In 2008 it finally received its current name as "Tourism Association Rennsteig~Saaleland eV".
The sphere of activity of our association extends to the region of the Rennsteig in the Thuringian Forest, the Saale reservoirs (Thuringian Sea), the Plothener Seenplatte, the Thuringian Vogtland, the Orlasenke and the Thuringian Heath.
The many good reasons for membership in our association are already reflected in the regional and industry-specific diversity of our association members, which include hotels, guesthouses, private holiday apartments, restaurants, associations, associations, passenger boat trips, campsites, riding stables, savings banks as well as municipalities and city administrations contrary.
